The Twin Under Sink Filter system consists of two filters, sitting side by side in canisters under the sink. The first filter the water passes through is a sediment filter, the next is a pre-carbon filter. The sediment filter removes solid particles in the water, whilst the carbon filter removes the majority of chemicals.

Because chemical and solid particles build up on the filters, we recommend a full filter change and service every six months. If filters are not changed, the water flow may become slower, and the quality of the water will decrease. The following includes information on the specifics of each filter, as well as the levels of chemicals which are removed by the filters.

Stage 1 - Sediment Filter
The sediment filter is made out of 100% polypropylene, the fibers are spun together to form a gradient density from outer to inner surfaces. These filter cartridges are designed specifically to prevent them from impart taste, odour or colour to the water. The polypropylene is also not prone to permitting bacteria to grow. The cartridges used by Pure Clear Water Supply filter solid sediments down to 1 micron. The sediment cartridge filters solid particles such as rust, hair and dirt.

Stage 2 - Pre Carbon Filter
The carbon filter is made from wound, carbon impregnated paper cartridges. The carbon filters have a 5 micron rating and are designed with a high dirt-holding capacity. The cartridges are highly porous which helps to prevent the cartridge from plugging before it's absorption capacity is exhausted. Carbon filters will reduce the levels of fluoride, copper, lead and pesticides. As well as removing chlorine. The following laboratory study results show the recommended maximum levels of certain chemicals in drinking water, and the levels found after water has been filter using out filtration system.

Each model has a four filter system. The function of each filter is explained as follows :

1. Sediment Filter (5 microns) 
   This filter removes undissolved particles such as dust, sand, rust, and all other harmful solid particles. By extracting these larger particles from the water passing through the next filter, it prevents clogging, extends filter function, and prolongs the life of the unit's purification system.

2. Pre-Carbon Filter 
   This activated carbon filter not only removes residual chlorine, but also gets rid of bad taste and odours.

3. Ultra Filtration Filter (0.01 microns)
   UF-Membrane filter is well suited to remove bacteria, micro-organism, clay particles, suspended metal hydroxides, collodial silica, cysts, and other impurities. However the minerals contained in water pass through UF membrane filter having a superior water purification capability.
   
   
4. Post-Carbon Filter
   It further gets rid of bad taste and smells in the water. Therefore it raises water purity and makes water taste even better.

The Whole of House filtration system consists of three filters, each measuring twenty inches. The filters reduce a variety of elements in your household water supply.

The system is installed at your mains water connection in your front yard, and filters all water going in to your house, to supply your shower, sink, washing machine, dishwasher and all household taps. The system consists of one sediment filter, one block carbon filter and one granulated carbon filter.
The sediment filter works to remove any solid particles in your water, including rust, dirt and hair. The carbon filters work to reduce the levels of chemicals in the water. It will remove 98% of chlorine in the water, as well as removing a variety of other chemicals including lead, copper and pesticides.

This system has the advantage of having one block carbon filter, and one granulated carbon filter. Which give extra filtration of chemicals from the water, without reducing the water pressure into your house as much as it would be if the system contained two block carbon filters. The granulated carbon filter also helps to aerate the water, allowing for better flow through the system.
